Description

Turkish producer Zeynep Erbay returns to her own Moments On The Floor imprint with Dans, a four-track EP of playful, retro-futurist house music that balances nostalgic club sounds with a fresh, psychedelic edge. Following the label's debut release, Sky High, this second instalment shifts its focus firmly towards the dancefloor, bringing together instinctive grooves, dreamy chords, fragmented vocals and flashes of acid.

The title track, “Dans”, opens with a late-'80s-inspired house groove, hazy melodic chords, classic organ licks and wonderfully wild acid lines. “Find The Girl” takes a brighter, more euphoric direction, delivering kaleidoscopic piano-house energy with a sun-soaked feel made for open-air sessions and boat parties.

The B-side features two contrasting versions of “Waiting Now”, a punchy, Phuture-inspired acid house workout. One version adds warm, loved-up chords to the mix, while the alternative strips them away for a more direct, stripped-back club tool. Moving effortlessly between yearning melodies and full-on dancefloor euphoria, Dans is a compelling release for deep house and acid house selectors alike.
