'The Sound Of Slip 'n' Slide, Vol. 2' continues the archival series celebrating the catalogue of legendary UK house label Slip 'n' Slide, bringing four timeless Deep House, Soulful House and US Garage cuts back to black 12 inch vinyl. Featuring Masters At Work, Blaze, Kings Of Tomorrow, Booker T, Cassio Ware, LZ Love and Kiko Navarro, this second sampler captures the soulful, groove-heavy sound that made the imprint an important home for underground House throughout the 1990s and 2000s.

The Slip 'n' Slide catalogue played a key role in bringing soulful American House and Garage records to UK audiences, releasing music from many of the genre's most influential artists and producers. This second volume digs back into that history with four proven dancefloor records spanning warm vocal House, New Jersey House, deep early-morning grooves and classic US Garage.

Opening the record is Funky People featuring Cassio Ware – 'Funky People (Masters At Work Main Mix)'. Originally dating from 1995, the track brings together the soulful Blaze-associated Funky People project and vocalist Cassio Ware, with Masters At Work delivering a characteristically groove-heavy remix. Loose, rubbery rhythms and soulful vocals make it a prime example of classic 90s House.

Next up, LZ Love – 'See The Light (Booker T's Club Mix)' receives an organ-rich treatment from Booker T. Uplifting vocals meet warm keys and a rolling club groove, delivering the kind of timeless Soulful House sound that sits comfortably between peak-time energy and deeper selections.

The B-side opens with Kings Of Tomorrow – 'Open Your Mind (K.O.T. Mix)', a chunky, bass-heavy House workout with the unmistakable touch of Kings Of Tomorrow.
