Description

ASOT Classics Series, Vol. 2 sees Armada Music and PDD return to the archives for another essential selection of timeless trance anthems. Following the first volume, this second instalment of the A State Of Trance Classics series brings together three influential tracks from the genre's golden era, celebrating the euphoric melodies, driving rhythms and emotional soundscapes that helped define late-'90s and early-2000s trance.

Leading the A-side is Chicane feat. Moya Brennan – Saltwater, the iconic 1999 release that became one of trance music's most enduring crossover anthems. Built around an atmospheric Celtic-inspired vocal, uplifting melodies and a beautifully expansive production, the track captures the unmistakable sound of a generation of dance music. Its return to vinyl offers a welcome opportunity to revisit a record that continues to resonate with DJs and listeners decades after its original release.

On the B-side, Veracocha – Carte Blanche (Extended Mix) delivers another landmark moment in classic trance, combining driving energy with the euphoric melodic hooks that have kept it a favourite among trance DJs and collectors. Completing the release, Insigma – Open Our Eyes (Original Mix) brings a more driving, instrumental approach, with strobing synth patterns, energetic breaks and the forward momentum characteristic of the era's peak-time trance sound.

Spanning three essential productions originally released between 1999 and 2000, ASOT Classics Series, Vol. 2 is a celebration of trance music's lasting influence. Whether you're revisiting familiar anthems or discovering these classics for the first time, this black 12-inch vinyl is a strong addition to any collection of classic trance, uplifting dance music and essential A State Of Trance selections.
