Description

The mysterious London-based duo Two Cold return with a sought-after repress of their Desert Leather EP, originally released in 2023 and back on vinyl in 2026 via M.A.D RECORDS. Blending lo-fi house, acid, electro and breakbeat influences, this four-track release delivers a leftfield journey through crunchy textures, warped electronics, heavyweight bass and off-kilter club rhythms.

Across the EP, Two Cold push beyond conventional genre boundaries, combining psychedelic sound design, unexpected melodies and infectious, body-moving beats. The title track, “Desert Leather”, sets the tone for a collection full of unusual twists and atmospheric passages, while “Missing Channel” continues the exploration of lo-fi textures and unconventional electronic grooves.

On the B-side, “Katanga Slide” stands out with its bouncy acid energy and playful, almost futuristic character, bringing a rubbery, cybernetic edge to the dancefloor. “Portal Vortex” completes the journey, rounding out a release that moves between breakbeat workouts, trippy synth explorations and raw underground club music.

With original copies reportedly fetching premium prices on the second-hand market, this 2026 repress offers another opportunity to pick up a distinctive release from one of the underground’s more enigmatic projects. For fans of leftfield house, electro, acid and experimental dance music, Desert Leather EP is a seriously characterful addition to the record bag.
