Hell Yeah Recordings welcomes back Icelandic producer Tonarunur for 'Someone Else EP', a beautifully crafted four-track journey through future-facing Balearica, downtempo, cosmic electronics and blissed-out grooves. Drawn from Tonarunur's vast production archives and featuring artwork from Planet Luke, the EP reveals two distinct sides to his sound, effortlessly moving between sunset escapism and after-hours introspection.

Tonarunur last appeared on the label with a contribution to the Buena Onda compilation in 2021 and has also released his distinctive blend of electronic boogie, space disco and Balearic music on Citizen of Vice, Eskimo Recordings and Whiskey Disco. Whether laying down horizontal Sunday sounds or soundtracking the dancefloor, the Icelandic producer brings a strong sense of personality, warmth and musicality to everything he touches.

Both A-side cuts feature Norwegian bass player Arctander. Opening track 'Someone Else' pairs a playful, serpentine mid-tempo groove with sun-dappled 80s keys, delivering the kind of warm, laid-back energy made for golden-hour listening. 'Dawn' takes the scenic route through liquid rhythms, gently broken beats and celestial melodies, slowly unfolding into a blissful cosmic excursion awash with good vibrations.

On the flip, 'Lundur 1' drifts further into the stars with shimmering pads and weightless grooves, balancing romantic warmth with a distinctly melancholic atmosphere. 'Lundur 2' brings things back to earth with a more grounded rhythm, while wispy melodies trace patterns across a starry-night backdrop. Equal parts dreamy and danceable, 'Someone Else EP' moves effortlessly between the club and the cosmos, capturing the adventurous spirit that makes Tonarunur such a distinctive producer.
