Released through Dafia Records, this 12 inch vinyl pairs a respectful, dancefloor-ready update of the original with the stripped-back 'Nightdubbin'' version on the flip.

Originally released in 1985, 'Spend The Night' became The Cool-Notes' biggest hit, reaching No. 11 in the UK Singles Chart. Its combination of soulful vocals, polished production and infectious mid-tempo groove has helped it endure as a much-loved UK Jazz-Funk, Soul and Disco classic.

For these new versions, Dimitri From Paris was given access to the original multitrack tapes by Dafia label head Mannix. Rather than completely reinventing such a well-loved record, Dimitri takes a sympathetic approach, preserving the song's essential character while opening up the arrangement and drawing greater attention to details buried within the original mix.

The A-side features 'Spend The Night (Dimitri From Paris Remix)', where the French producer enhances the original with crisp drums, carefully placed effects and his trademark groove-focused production. Familiar vocals and instrumentation remain at the heart of the track, but the expanded arrangement gives the record additional clarity, movement and dancefloor weight.

On the flip, 'Spend The Night (Dimitri From Paris Is Nightdubbin')' takes the track into more spacious territory. Stripping back the vocal and using carefully selected snippets throughout the mix, Dimitri creates a roomy, atmospheric Disco Dub that gives the rhythm section and instrumental elements more room to breathe.
