Shadow Child goes back to his musical roots on the 'DNA EP', a limited-edition four-track 12 inch vinyl exploring the sounds and genres that have shaped his career. Released through Food Music x London Records and limited to just 500 copies, the EP moves effortlessly through House, Breakbeat, Acid and Jungle, with guest appearances from vocalist Falle Nioke and Manchester band Delphic.

The concept behind 'DNA' sees Shadow Child dig into his biggest influences and deepest musical roots. Across a career spanning numerous aliases, collaborations and corners of the electronic music spectrum, his productions have consistently drawn from UK rave culture, house, techno, drum & bass and breakbeat. Here, those influences are brought together across four distinctly different tracks that showcase the full breadth of his sound.

Opening cut 'Falle Acid' features Guinean vocalist Falle Nioke, combining a fierce 303 acid line with Nioke's Coniagui vocals. The result bridges traditional acid and techno influences with a distinctive Guinea Conakry perspective. 'Fifty One' follows by tapping directly into Shadow Child's well-documented love of drum & bass, delivering a deep, rolling Jungle cut rooted in classic UK soundsystem and rave culture.

The B-side reveals another side of Shadow Child's musical DNA. 'Song For Sophia' is a timeless Deep House track built around dreamy pads, subtle bleeps and a warm, hypnotic groove, while 'Holding Back', featuring Delphic, draws together his love of Progressive House, breaks and trance. Dreamy and atmospheric, it's the kind of late-night cut made for those hazy 3am moments when the dancefloor heads somewhere deeper.
