Description:
Scarper launches HUMAN with E-Funk / Twisty, the Manchester-based label's debut release. Pressed on 12 Inch Vinyl and available exclusively on vinyl, this two-track release brings together UK Garage, Breaks, 2-Step and house influences with a left-field electronic edge.
HUMAN is a vinyl-only electronic music label based in Manchester, focused on music, art, fashion and culture. The label's debut release sets out its approach with a record built for the dancefloor, with no shortcuts and a clear focus on the music.
London-based producer and DJ Scarper has spent the past decade developing a distinctive sound that blends melodic electronica, broken rhythms and left-field club ideas. Alongside a deep catalogue of albums, EPs and remixes, his work has also extended into advertising, gaming, television and short film.
E-Funk is a high-energy hybrid club track combining 2-Step, House and Breaks. Built as a floor-starting DJ weapon, its broken rhythms and driving energy make it a strong choice for peak-time club sets and busy dancefloors.
On the flip, Twisty pushes further into broken club territory, pairing solid broken beats with acid basslines and electronic bleeps. Its stripped-back rhythmic focus and dancefloor-ready energy make it a versatile cut for DJs looking for something outside conventional house and garage territory.
Scarper – E-Funk / Twisty received early DJ support from Moxie, Grant Dell and Saoirse, making this debut HUMAN release a strong addition for DJs and collectors into UK Garage, Breaks, 2-Step and left-field electronic club music.
