Description:

On Da Floor return with their fifth white label release, ODFWL05, a four-track EP from Leeds-based DJ and producer ODF. Continuing the label's genre-bending approach to underground club music, this latest offering brings together heavyweight low-end pressure, chopped samples and infectious garage-inspired rhythms across four distinctive cuts.

Each track takes inspiration from an iconic musical figure, with 'Miles Davis Tool', 'Prince Tool', 'Mouse Tool' and 'LL Cool Tool' weaving recognisable vocal and musical snippets into punchy, bass-driven productions. Alongside the carefully chopped samples, expect rolling UK garage rhythms, deep house influences, ragga references and the occasional Alan Watts sample, all wrapped up in a playful, leftfield club sound.

Following the label's earlier speed garage release 'Tell Them', which received support from DJ EZ, On Da Floor continue to build their reputation for adventurous underground releases. With early DJ support from Ben UFO, Archie Hamilton, M-High, Kepler, Prozak and Boss Priester, ODFWL05 is a versatile four-tracker for selectors looking for fresh garage, bassline and house sounds.

Tracklist:

A1. Miles Davis Tool
A2. Prince Tool
