A key piece of early electronic dance music history, this is a record that helped bridge the gap between electro and house and remains hugely influential decades after its original release.

Originally released through legendary New York imprint Cutting Records, Nitro Deluxe's pivotal 'Let's Get Brutal' and the subsequent 'This Brutal House' became hugely influential records in the development of early house music. Blending elements of NYC electro and freestyle with the emerging Chicago house sound, Nitro Deluxe created a distinctive blueprint that would go on to influence generations of producers and DJs. The track was famously sampled by Kevin Saunderson for Inner City's huge 'Big Fun', while its influence continues to be felt throughout house music today.

The original 'This Brutal House (UK Edit)' captures the raw energy of the 1980s dancefloor, with its unmistakable synth melody, warehouse-ready stabs and electro-driven rhythms.
