Description:

Nihil Young presents his debut album 'Compass' on Zerothree, a deeply personal journey through Progressive House, Electronica and Trance. Across 13 tracks, Young draws on memories and defining moments from his life, from meeting his wife through to the birth of his first child, translating those experiences into an expansive and melodic 12 inch vinyl LP.

Built around the idea of life coming full circle, 'Compass' showcases the full breadth of Nihil Young's musicianship. Taking control of everything from instrumentation and production through to lyrics and songwriting, the album brings together emotive electronic arrangements, progressive grooves and detailed melodic production to create a cohesive body of work.

The album also features an extensive cast of collaborators, including Rowland Giles, Leo Wood, Lasada, Jordan Arts, FRDRK, Adriana Stone, TYGR TYGR, Sihnara, Ward Andrews, Heard Right and KARIANA. Each collaboration introduces its own character while remaining connected to the emotional and melodic direction running throughout the record.

Tracks including 'You and I', 'Just Be' with Lasada and 'Love In The Echoes' with Leo Wood establish the album's melodic foundations, before 'Compass' moves through the reflective 'Where The Memories Live', the collaborative 'Begin Again' and 'Panic' with Sihnara.

The second half continues the journey with Jordan Arts collaboration 'Still Here', Adriana Stone featuring on 'Beautiful Low' and TYGR TYGR joining Young for 'Can't Forget You'. The album closes out through 'Everyday', 'Gone Too Soon' with FRDRK, 'Breathe Between' alongside Heard Right and FRDRK, and the final KARIANA collaboration 'The Truth'.

Released through Zerothree and rooted in the label's REALPROG ethos, 'Compass' balances dancefloor-focused Progressive House with more reflective Electronica and Trance-influenced songwriting. Rather than functioning simply as a collection of club tracks, the album presents a personal story shaped through melody, collaboration and electronic production.

Perfect for listeners and collectors into Nihil Young vinyl, Zerothree, Progressive House, melodic electronic music, Electronica and Trance. Personal, expansive and collaboration-heavy, Compass marks an important milestone for Nihil Young as his debut full-length album on vinyl.
