Description:

Autumn is the first of four records from NAO as part of her Soulful Suite project. A deeply personal record about finding your way back to yourself, it explores the changing seasons of life, embracing endings, transformation and the possibility of renewal. Through themes of love, rest, pleasure, spirituality, music and self-belief, NAO reflects on the idea that moving forward isn't about returning to who you once were, but discovering who you can become next.

At the heart of the record are live jazz performances from NAO, Dave Okumu and friends, bringing a sense of freedom, instinct and spontaneity to the music. Rooted in jazz tradition while remaining open to new possibilities, the performances capture the spirit of the project: honouring musical history while allowing room for experimentation and expression.

Moving between jazz, nu jazz and neo soul, Autumn is an intimate and uplifting collection that finds beauty in change and celebrates the power of music as a source of connection, reflection and renewal. Pressed on distinctive ox blood vinyl and presented in a gatefold sleeve, this is the opening chapter of NAO's Soulful Suite journey.
