Tokyo Love Song (a spin-off imprint of XL Middleton’s MoFunk label) presents a special 7” pairing of cult Japanese electro-funk history with modern funk reinterpretation. Minoru “Hoodoo” Fushimi, a revered figure in Japan’s underground 80s scene, appears with the sought-after cut “In Praise Of Mitochondria”, brought to 7 inch vinyl for the very first time.

Known for his distinctive blend of lo-fi electro funk, drum machine-driven grooves and early hip hop influences, Fushimi sits alongside the broader city pop era while remaining firmly outside of it.
