Description:

KNEVRM!ND presents Knevrm!nd VOL.1, the first-ever vinyl release from the project of Baltimore-born house legend Karizma. Rather than simply extending or rearranging existing tracks, Karizma uses the KNEVRM!ND moniker to completely re-imagine source material, creating new productions and reshaping vocals into something entirely different. This four-track 12 Inch Vinyl EP brings some of his in-demand reworks to wax for the first time.

Karizma, a former Basement Boys crewmember and long-standing figure in house music, has been quietly building a substantial catalogue of these bold reworks under the KNEVRM!ND alias. Knevrm!nd VOL.1 finally opens the vault, delivering four distinctive cuts that move between Deep House, Soulful House, R&B, Disco and electronic funk.

Side A opens with MAKE !T LAST, transforming what sounds like an old R&B / Soul jam into a squelchy blend of minimal deep house and electronic funk. WHEN WE GET BY follows by placing another R&B vocal over a spiritual, piano-rich Deep House instrumental, creating a warm and soulful groove.

On the B-side, MUS!C reimagines a slow disco moment from a Motown great as a tech-tinged Deep House cut, while FOR THE CH!LDREN closes the EP with super-soulful vocals, fluid riffs and tightly locked house rhythms.

Knevrm!nd VOL.1 is a unique collection of Karizma's re-imagined productions, offering DJs and collectors a first chance to own these sought-after KNEVRM!ND cuts on 12 Inch Vinyl.
