Description

Glenn Davis returns to Forma Music with “Mixed Emotions”, a deep, atmospheric house production that balances hypnotic grooves with soulful musicality and serious dancefloor energy. The Dublin-based producer delivers a captivating blend of driving basslines, jazzy chords and shimmering synth stabs, creating an immersive sound that sits comfortably between deep and melodic house.

On the A-side, the original mix builds around its deep, propulsive bassline and warm harmonic textures, drawing listeners into a hypnotic groove designed for extended dancefloor sessions. Davis’s understated production and melodic sensibility make this a standout for selectors who appreciate sophisticated, groove-led house music.

Flip to the B-side for a masterful reinterpretation from Trinidadian Deep, who brings his unmistakable Caribbean influence to the track. Layers of live percussion, soulful vocals, organ textures and deep sub-bass transform the original into a rich, rhythmically intricate journey that rewards playback on a proper club system.

With support from respected selectors including Jimpster, Rainer Truby, Craig Smith, Giles Smith and Shane Johnson of Fish Go Deep, this second release on Forma Music is an essential addition for fans of deep, soulful and Afro-influenced house.
