Gideon Jackson – Helpless / Sales In The Wind sees the influential London producer return to GEMS with a three-track release connecting the early days of UK tech house with his contemporary sound. Combining two previously unreleased recordings from the 1990s with a brand-new production, this limited 12 inch vinyl release offers a fascinating snapshot of one of the UK's original underground house innovators.

The A-side opens with 'Helpless (Original Mix)', originally produced in 1996 and taken from Gideon Jackson's acclaimed Outa The Blue EP. Raw, hypnotic and unmistakably rooted in the formative years of London tech house, the track combines taut percussion, deep bass pressure and repetitive grooves to create a stripped-back club workout that still sounds remarkably fresh decades later.

Alongside it is the previously unreleased 'Helpless (Freeform Mix)', another recording from 1996 that has remained hidden in the archives until now. Taking a more psychedelic and exploratory direction, swirling synth lines, analogue effects and leaner low-end textures add a deeper dimension while maintaining the hypnotic drive of the original.
