Description
DAYBREAKERS returns to the archives of Montreal deep house favourite Fred Everything with The Lost Tapes 2008-2015, a second collection of previously unreleased recordings from one of the scene’s most respected producers. Following the first archival instalment exploring his earlier years, this release uncovers three forgotten gems recorded between 2008 and 2015, finally giving them their moment on vinyl.
Known for his work with 20:20 Vision, his long-running Lazy Days imprint and a consistently refined approach to house music, Fred Everything has built a catalogue prized by DJs and dancers worldwide. These previously unheard productions capture his signature musicality while leaning into warmer, more dancefloor-focused territory, with rolling basslines, atmospheric synths and beautifully understated grooves.
The spacey, rubbery deep house of “MOTS” opens the release with elastic bass, fizzing synth riffs and melodic motifs. On the flip, “Love Is” brings a deeper, string-drenched soulful feel, while “We Can” explores a lively fusion of deep house and electronic jazz. Three timeless cuts from the vaults, this is essential listening for fans of sophisticated underground house and musical, groove-led production.
