Description:

Almost four decades in the making, Dave Seaman finally delivers his first-ever artist album, Mirrorball Sleaze, released on Selador Recordings. A career-spanning collection bringing together new recordings, reworked material and reimagined productions, the album traces the evolution of one of electronic music's most enduring figures, connecting his early roots in acid house with his contemporary sound on the frontline of club music.

Drawing on a lifetime immersed in dance music, Mirrorball Sleaze moves fluidly between deep, atmospheric passages, shimmering melodies and euphoric progressive house. From the tuned toms and playful rhythms of 'Loco Hermoso' to the expansive, breakbeat-driven closer 'Under The Knowledge', the album showcases the breadth of Seaman's production and his ability to move between styles without losing his distinctive touch.

The title track adds another layer to the story, with Seaman sampling himself sampling his own label – a nod to 'Strobelight Symphony' from 2015, which itself drew on a track released through his influential Stress Records imprint in the 1990s.

This limited vinyl edition features all 11 tracks specially segued into two flowing listening pieces across sides A and B. A long-awaited milestone from the former Mixmag editor, Stress Records founder and respected DJ and producer, Mirrorball Sleaze is a fitting celebration of Dave Seaman's contribution to electronic music.
