Description

Dajae’s seminal Chicago house classic “Brighter Days” returns with a heavyweight collection of remixes on Big Love, bringing fresh energy to one of house music’s most enduring vocal anthems. Featuring reworks from Harry Romero, DJ Spen, MicFreak, Thommy Davis and Gary Hudgins, this five-track package moves between driving house grooves, soulful vocals, gospel influences and deep dub workouts.

Opening the release, New Jersey house stalwart Harry Romero delivers the House Me Up Remix, drawing inspiration from the bassline of ESG’s 1980s cut “Moody” while adding distinctive beats, original organ parts and synth work. The result is an evolving, dancefloor-focused arrangement that honours the spirit of classic house while bringing its own character to the track.

DJ Spen & MicFreak follow with their Vocal Remix, retaining the feel of the original song before slipping into an infectious dub groove tailored to soulful underground house sets. The gospel-inspired energy continues with DJ Spen, Thommy Davis & Gary Hudgins’ Gospel Anthem Remix, which combines familiar vocal hooks with additional performances from Inaya Day & Shout.

Rounding out the release, the Hump Mix and Unda DaGround remix from DJ Spen & MicFreak take the track into deeper territory, delivering extended dub-focused arrangements for DJs who favour groove, atmosphere and stripped-back club pressure. With support from respected names across the house music scene, this remix collection is a strong addition for fans of classic Chicago house, soulful house and contemporary dancefloor reworks.
