Description:

A true slice of underground House history, BRS (British Rhythm Services) return with the sought-after Time To Shuff EP, originally released on Cyclo Records in 2000. Now reissued by Situationism Records, this timeless four-track release receives a lovingly reproduced vinyl pressing featuring artwork inspired by the original, bringing a landmark record from the UK Deep House scene back to the turntables.

The EP opens with 'Shuff (60's Jazz Mix)', a wonderfully swung blend of humid bass, warm pads and laid-back percussion, delivering the kind of understated, jazzy groove that has kept classic Deep House sounding fresh for decades. 'Outer Space', featuring 6LDA, shifts into a more spacious, sun-drenched mood, pairing smooth rhythms with intimate vocal touches and a relaxed late-afternoon feel.

On the flip, 'Dave On Guitar' brings lush guitar licks and intriguing effects into a groove with real dancefloor purpose, while 'Come Get I', also featuring 6LDA, rounds things out with loose, percussive rhythms and sparkling keys. Blending Jazzy House, Garage House and lounge-inspired textures, the EP captures a distinctive sound that continues to influence deeper, more soulful corners of House music.

For DJs and collectors who appreciate the foundations of UK Deep House, BRS – Time To Shuff EP is a welcome reissue of an enduring underground classic, equally suited to intimate listening and carefully built dancefloor sets.
