Following the huge success of his acclaimed E2-E4 rework, Alex Kassian returns to Test Pressing Recordings with another inspired reinterpretation, this time revisiting Spooky's seminal early 90s classic 'Orange Coloured Liquid'. Originally featured on the influential 1993 album Gargantuam, the track played a key role in shaping the emerging progressive house movement alongside pioneering acts such as Underworld and Leftfield.
More than three decades later, Alex Kassian breathes new life into the original with two expertly crafted versions that showcase his unmistakable blend of Balearic house, deep house and atmospheric electronic music. 'Part I' is built around rolling breakbeats, hypnotic rhythms and dancefloor-focused energy, while 'Part II' explores the more ambient and emotive side of the composition, making it equally suited to sunset sessions and home listening.
Adding further depth to the package, legendary producer John Beltran appears under his celebrated Placid Angles alias, delivering a beautifully textured remix that effortlessly bridges the gap between the club-ready pulse of Kassian's rework and the dreamlike atmosphere of the original.
