Description:

London producer Aldonna makes her full EP debut on Semi Delicious with 'Girls From Mars EP', a four-track trip through Deep House, Balearic House, Acid House and progressive sounds, complete with a remix from Berlin favourite Fantastic Man. Summery, sensual and packed with personality, the release sees Aldonna using her own vocals for the first time while keeping the dancefloor firmly at the centre of her sound.

Across 'Girls From Mars', Aldonna twists familiar progressive and trance influences into something deeper and more distinctive, drawing on shades of Belgian and German ambient music, acid-soaked electronics and heads-down club grooves. The result is a playful but seriously effective 12 inch vinyl EP that moves between dreamy atmospheres, crisp percussion, slinky low-end and flashes of old-school progressive energy.

Opening track 'Your Touch' wraps breathy vocal hooks around crisp drums and hypnotic electronic textures, creating a warm, sensual groove with one foot on the dancefloor and the other somewhere considerably more cosmic. 'Talk Bad' follows with added funk and attitude, while 'Pink Beluga' continues the journey through playful rhythms, low-slung bass and the distinctive sense of sass that runs throughout the record.

Berlin-based Fantastic Man takes control for the closing cut, transforming 'Your Touch' into a shimmering Balearic House workout. His remix brings a chugging, sun-drenched quality to the original, combining hazy atmospheres and rolling rhythms with the signature psychedelic glow that has made his productions a favourite amongst adventurous house and Balearic selectors.

Perfect for DJs and collectors into Deep House vinyl, Balearic House records, Acid House, Progressive House vinyl and the new generation of artists exploring the deeper, dreamier edges of underground dance music. With three original Aldonna cuts and a superb Fantastic Man remix, 'Girls From Mars EP' is another standout release from the Semi Delicious catalogue.
