The weekend of the 27th of March saw Nothing Ventured Vinyl celebrate its first r of trading on Albert Road.
As many of you will know, I took a brief hiatus due to a change in location, but now the shop is back to its best, and I love every second of it.
The ethos of the shop has always been simple - to provide Southsea with a hub for likeminded people to meet, buy records, chat, and share ideas on how to better the local music scene.
The past year has surpassed my expectations, the love and support from customers, both online and in-store has been amazing. I'm pretty chuffed with what I have created, but it wouldn't have been possible without everyone that's walked through the door - massive respect!
I had big plans to host a birthday bash; I was inviting music lovers to come-by, enjoy the vibes, with special promotions and live Dj sets. COVID-19 put a spanner in the works BUT fear not - a belated birthday celebration is on the cards once the world starts spinning again!
As for my plans for the future, I've used this time to launch this new site, I'm teaming up with artists on an NVV SoundCloud mix series - NVV & Friends (check it out here), I'm continuing to grow the shop's presence in these strange times, and most importantly I can't wait to reopen my doors and welcome you all back in!
