Tolliday, widely known as \u003cstrong\u003eNail\u003c\/strong\u003e, has long been a respected figure within the UK electronic underground, with a catalogue spanning dancefloor-focused Deep House, experimental Electronica and numerous aliases including A.M Vibe, Lucky Lime and Smoke. He was also one half of acclaimed Nottingham \u003cstrong\u003edowntempo duo Bent\u003c\/strong\u003e alongside longtime collaborator Simon Mills.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHenry Claude Scott\u003c\/strong\u003e, meanwhile, comes from a background in guitar, Jazz and atmospheric songwriting. His work with \u003cstrong\u003eTorn Sail\u003c\/strong\u003e, alongside Huw Costin, explored Folk-infused Downtempo and Balearic music for labels including Claremont 56 and NuNorthern Soul, while his \u003cstrong\u003eBrown Fang\u003c\/strong\u003e project with John 'Ming' Thompson blurred the boundaries between Ambient, Balearica, Krautrock, minimalism and instrumental soundscapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe partnership began with \u003cstrong\u003e'Correspondence'\u003c\/strong\u003e, the first track Tolliday and Scott recorded together and the song that ultimately inspired the wider \u003cstrong\u003eMondo Love \u0026amp; Betrayal\u003c\/strong\u003e project. The session revealed a natural meeting point between Tolliday's love of Synth-Pop and electronic production and Scott's songwriting and emotive falsetto.
